The Living Rainforest is an indoor greenhouse housing tropical rainforest located in Berkshire. It is an ecological centre, educational centre and visitor attraction, and the Year 4 girls were lucky enough to go and visit this wonderful site recently. The girls learnt that despite covering just 6% of the earth, rainforests contain half of our plants and animals. They saw just a few of these wonderful creatures, including a sleepy sloth, lively lizards, some perky parrots and a slinky green snake. They also enjoyed looking at the beautiful tropical plants and vibrant flowers. It was an interesting and most enjoyable trip.
