Year 3 girls travelled to Neasden to visit and glory at The Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden, London, the largest Hindu temple outside India. It was built by Pramukh Swami, a 92-year-old Indian holy man, and is made of 2,828 tonnes of Bulgarian limestone and 2,000 tonnes of Italian marble. The girls were amazed by the beautiful details and carving in the building and the visit supported their work in class by learning more about this fascination religion.
