The Year 1 girls braved the wet weather conditions when they travelled to Dapdune Wharf on the River Wey recently, to learn all about rivers, locks, barges and more. The site boasts nearly 20 miles of river, a beautiful 18th century water mill and a well-equipped visitor centre. The girls had a wonderful time which included pond dipping, mini beast hunting, a site tour to learn about locks and barges before taking a boat trip on the Dapdune Belle. The inclement weather did nothing to deter the girls from having lots of fun, and learning all about rivers which links back to all their hard work in class.
