Last week saw girls at The Study enjoy a very special day of World War 1 workshops with professional actors, an authentic WW1 themed lunch, and the installation of two striking “poppy walls” made up of handmade poppies crafted by every girl (see last week’s news items). Today girls were proud to take part in a special Remembrance assembly and to join the nation in commemorating this very special year, which marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War 1. Year 1 girls put together a wonderful and moving assembly at Wilberforce House which was followed by a 2 minute silence. Year 2 girls visited the War Memorial on the Common in order to pay their respects.
