The Year 1 girls enjoyed a Seaside in the Past Workshop! The day included lots of hands-on experiences with a range of seaside artefacts and memorabilia from the past, to help illustrate what people used to get up to on their holidays and trips to the seaside during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. They also learnt about different types of amusements which were popular in the past, and made rock, seashell treasure boxes, and play old fashioned games! The girls were treated to a traditional fish and chip lunch with ice cream to follow. Miss Ellis was on ketchup duty! In order to help them fully engage with their learning, they all came into school dressed in Victorian costume, and certainly looked the part.
