What a busy time our U11 Netball A Team has had of late! The girls have played in a number of high-profile tournaments, and their teamwork, fantastic training and hard work have paid off. Here is a roundup of their highlights.
On Friday 28th February, the girls took part in the South London Prep Schools championships at Battersea Park, against 12 other schools. Our girls played exceptionally well and won all their matches, beating the Roche 6-2 in the final to secure Gold for The Study. A fantastic achievement!
The following day, on Saturday March 1st, our team travelled to Guildford High to take part in the Surrey Championships against 14 top schools. Our girls drew the first two games and then proudly revealed their true form and skill, playing the semi-final against Guildford High and winning 9-8, then reaching the final against Sutton High and winning 7-4. They received special glass trophies each for their efforts. A great result!
On Thursday March 6th the team travelled all the way to sunny Brighton for the IAPS Regionals, played at Roedean. 64 teams took part from all over the South-E ast region. The team played brilliantly from the start and after winning 8 matches they progressed to the top pool where they drew 1, lost 1 and won 1. This meant they were runners up and received a trophy for their outstanding achievement along with qualification to the Nationals next week. This is an astounding accolade and we wish the team all the best for the Nationals. Watch this space!
