A Day for Showing Appreciation and Giving Thanks

Today is Thanksgiving, a huge holiday celebrated in North America, and here at The Study we are celebrating the special day not only with a traditional Thanksgiving lunch, but also the girls are thinking about what they are especially thankful for, whether it be supportive friends, a loving family or having a cosy home. Year 1 girls created some lovely turkeys made from mini pumpkins, and wrote what they were thankful for on paper leaves. The girls enjoyed an assembly focusing on the traditional story of the pilgrims who travelled to America to start a new life, exactly 400 years ago. We wish all our American families a happy Thanksgiving!
