Spencer House girls have outdone themselves regarding charity fundraising this week. In earlier news, we saw how Year 5 girls sold homemade craft items to raise money for their chosen cause, the Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity which supports seriously ill children and young people with long term health conditions, details on the website www.roalddahl.com. The Year 4 girls put on another fantastic event, selling items such as scrunchies, bath bombs, origami sets, clay pendants and pompoms as well as doing activities like tidying up, shooting goals, and skipping to raise money for the Wimbledon Dons Local Action Group. They aim to help those in the local community in need of support and to fight poverty and isolation, details on www.donslocalaction.org. The Year 6 girls decided to get together and organise a raffle, all proceeds going to the World Land Trust, an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats, acre by acre. Take a look at the wonderful work they do on www.worldlandtrust.org. Well done girls!
