The Year 5A team went to The Hawthorns School for a netball tournament on Saturday the 17th November. The girls started off with some strong netball, showing some great plays and fluidity around the court. The girls won their first match with some great shooting from the edges of the circle. The girls continued in a winning manner and ended up at the top of their pool. They were in the semi-finals having had an unbeaten run to get there.
The semi-final was against St George’s. This was a very tight match and the girls upped their game, playing beautifully and winning a place in the finals against Hoebridge. Despite some really great netball, Hoebridge just managed to stay ahead and give us second place overall. The final score was 3-1. The girls played some great netball and showed huge grit and resilience. We are hugely proud of their achievement!
