The Study was bustling with visitors last weekend as we opened our doors for our annual Open Morning. We are delighted that visiting families got a sense of the warm and welcoming community that makes our school so special.
The whole school turned out for this important event in our annual calendar. Mrs Lowe led talks in our new Performing Arts Hall and all of our teaching departments, from Reception and Early Years through to Sport, Music and Drama were on hand to answer parents’ questions.
Our catering team provided exceptional refreshments and both of our houses, Wilberforce (where our Reception to Year 3 girls are based) and Spencer (where our Year 3 to 6 girls are based), were involved in the proceedings with a shuttle bus ferrying families the short distance between our sites across Wimbledon Common.
Year 5 and 6 volunteers did a wonderful job of showing visiting families the highlights of the school, including some of our talented musicians who performed for the occasion. There’s no question that Study girls are our best ambassadors. Our little visitors were able to enjoy a Study bear hunt too, collecting stickers from classrooms and taking home a special Study bear at the end of the morning.
Study alumni, who are continuing their senior school education at schools including Wimbledon High, Surbiton High and Epsom College joined us for the morning to talk about their Study days and the breadth of exceptional senior schools that our girls move onto. Ms Wingrove was also able to share her unique experience as a teacher who used to be a Study girl too!
It has been lovely to receive glowing feedback from families about their visit to the school.
The details of our next Open Morning will be published shortly.
