On Saturday 12th May the Year 6A Netball Team travelled to York to take part in the Netball ISA Nationals. The girls were very excited but knew it was a tough competition. They played 5 games to play in the group stages, below are the results;
AESG – Lost 9-11
Avon House – Won 15-2
St Margarets – Lost 3-9
St Edwards Prep- Won-19-1
MSJ- Won 10-2
These results meant we finished 3rd in our group and we were through to the Plate competition.
The girls were up against Knightsbridge in the quarter finals. The team played fantastic netball winning the game convincingly and getting through to the semi-finals against Lingfield Prep. Drawing at half time, the girls managed to end the game with a win which put them into the final! After a quick break they played Grantham Prep. This was a very close match, with lots of fantastic interceptions. The full time score finished 2-2, which meant the girls had to play extra time, golden goal. The Study girls stepped up and displayed wonderful netball to score the golden goal. Well done to all the girls and thank you to their parents for coming and supporting. A great day, with fantastic weather!
