Study Musicians who have achieved Grades 3 and above visited Downe House school for an orchestral “Day at the Movies” recently. Wonderful scores from such classic films as the Lion King, Frozen, Star Wars, Harry Potter and James Bond were on the repertoire. Over 200 instrumentalists from various schools took part in this exciting event. Teachers from Downe House led and inspired the girls in the full rehearsals, and smaller sectionals, with Senior pupils playing along in the final concert. It was lovely to play alongside instruments such as trombones, tubas, full percussion, bassoons, and double bass. The girls had a lovely time!
