Year 2 girls were off timetable today and enjoyed an immersive range of activities to learn all about the Fire of London. The girls experienced all sorts of exciting projects to bring their learning to life – coming into school dressed in 1666 style attire, and doing activities such as making plaited bread, embroidering their initials, mixing apothecary herbs, making clay button moulds, and writing with quills and ink. The day ended with a fiery finale where the girls witnessed the burning of the Tudor style houses they had created using cardboard boxes, paper and paint!
