Year 4 girls enjoyed a fascinating time when they visited Butser Farm recently. Butser Ancient Farm is an experimental archaeology site and great day out, near South Downs National Park. The girls enjoyed a mix of experiences including seeing a traditional Celtic Round house where they could experience just how the Celts lived. They sat around a campfire on pelts and took part in some wonderful activities, including making silver jewellery inspired by ancient design, watling hazel wood for fences, and spinning wool to make bracelets. The highlight was the visit to the Roman Villa, where they experienced mosaic making. What a fantastic day, bringing their history work to life!
