Jane Anne Davis   1964 - 2020

We pay tribute to Jane Davis, who sadly lost her long battle with cancer on 17 March 2020. Jane joined The Study as Admissions Secretary and assistant to the Bursary in 1993, and worked alongside three headmistresses during her tenure – Lindsay Bond, Joyce Nicol and Susan Pepper.  Jane was not only extremely proficient in her Admissions role, ensuring robust numbers of girls joining the School each year, she also cared deeply for each and every child who joined, and got to know the families in order to help and support them in the best way she could. She was adored by parents, colleagues and friends at the School, Jane was at the centre of everything and was never too busy to lend a hand, listen to a problem, give sound advice, and go out of her way to make someone’s day. Her warm character, wisdom, ready smile, sense of humour, and exceptional professionalism and ability in her role will be forever missed. Jane leaves behind three beloved sons, Nathan, Ross and Max, who were her heart and soul. The Board of Governors, Headmistress and Senior Management Team, and each and every one of her colleagues at The Study wish her family strength and peace at this exceptionally difficult time.
