The formidable Cross Country team at The Study showed their true colours yet again at the first Championships of the season at Guildford on October 1st. Our team (comprising girls from Y3-Y6) competed against top prep schools from Surrey and 60 girls started each race.
This was the Year 3’s first event but they showed no nerves as they all ran brilliantly to set the standard, and bring the team home in second place. A special mention must go to Georgina C, who is in Year 2 but won an individual Silver medal. Outstanding!
The Year 4 runners also came second with Katarina O winning Gold in the last 10 metres in a nail biting finish.
Year 5 took third place with Sophie W winning an individual Bronze, showing grit and determination.
Our entire Year 6 team saved the best to last by winning their age group trophy, with Jasmin K brilliantlygaining an individual Silver.
