On Friday evening Spencer house was transformed into a scene from the Wild West with a wonderful hoedown held for the Year 4-6 girls, and organised by The Study Association. The evening was filled with dancing, delicious snacks, hot dogs and lots of laughter!
Olivia C wrote this account of the evening:
“ Nearly all the girls were in fancy dress and wore tartan (plaid), cowboy hats and even guns! We danced for three hours with a few hot dogs, water and popcorn break! There was country music played on the accordion and a caller who taught us all the dances. My partner for some of the dancing was Sienna and I also danced with Tabitha and Diya. It was bit awkward when we got the steps wrong! All the girls had a fantastic time!”
Primrose L said of the night:
“On Friday, Years 4, 5 and 6 were invited to a Hoedown at Spencer House. Everybody made an effort with dressing up and the hall was decorated with gingham bunting and hay. There was a caller who showed us how to do all the dancing but the best thing was the popcorn machine and hot dogs. My favourite dance was the macarena. I think everyone had a lovely time and even some of the parents were dancing!”
