The Study Preparatory School has been awarded the prestigious Artsmark Gold Award for the third time; in 2009, in 2012 and again in 2018.
The Arts Council England Artsmark panel made the following comment about The Study’s submissions:
The panel was impressed by The Study’s commitment to establishing a whole school approach to the Arts and by the steps you have made in this respect, using the CAT (Creative Arts Team) to develop a whole school policy and curriculum overview. It is clear that the cross-curricular value of the arts is recognised and that the range of the extra-curricular offer is strong. The panel recognises the steps you have taken to share skills and expertise of staff which has had a positive impact on other schools within the area.
For your future journey, the panel would like to see how the planned new initiatives impact on teaching and learning outcomes and how your role as an opinion former develops. Congratulations on your Artsmark Gold Award!
As a Gold Artsmark school Arts Council England celebrates our commitment to arts and cultural education at a leadership level and the opportunities embedded across our provision. Our children have equal opportunity to plan, experience, participate in, and evaluate a diverse range of high-quality arts and cultural activities and we recognise the importance of development opportunities delivered by specialists for our staff in these areas. We engage with a range of arts and cultural organisations and can evidence the positive impact of these partnerships. Our girls have an opportunity to further develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of arts and culture and we are working to share the expertise we have established.
