The Year 3 Egyptian Day was a resounding success with the girls learning a huge amount about how the Ancient Egyptians lived, ate, and worshipped. The girls all came into school dressed up as Ancient Egyptians, and were then taken on a journey of discovery where they had an interactive, hands-on time making bread, carving soap into scarabs, grinding herbs and spices, and making clay jars to name just a few activities. They then put together a fantastic performance in the afternoon, where slaves, dancers, mimes and Egyptian kings and queens all had a starring role. Fiona from History off the Page was a great guide and mentor throughout the day, and we are so proud of how our girls behaved. She said that all the girls were fantastic, and that they not only listened to her and followed instructions, but listened and respected each other as well. Well done girls!
