Year 1 had a perfect day at picturesque Painshill Park in Surrey recently. The girls played games, went on minibeast hunts, inspected their habitats, and had great fun running through the long grass with their nets.
The girls also used their creative skills with some fun art activities. They drew a picture of the castle with wax crayons and painted over it with watercolours, creating wonderful effects. One of the girls’ favourite activities was when they made clay faces using mud from the bottom of the river. The girls formed the mud, put it on the tree trunks and decorated it with leaves, twigs, pine cones, grass and buttercups that they had collected, making a myriad of funny faces!
It was a truly memorable day spent at this historical landscaped parkland, and all the girls had a fantastic time in the warm sunshine.
