Enrichment Week at Spencer House was a resounding success, and included so many creative and exciting activities for the girls, all based around Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Besides the Globe Theatre trip, Spencer House girls had theatre skills workshops with Infinite Jest Theatre Group, learning skills such as puppetry, physical theatre and stage fighting; had set and costume design workshops with a professional designer; then worked in mixed age groups to explore the historical background of the play and the themes of the plot through creative writing and performance. The week’s finale was a wonderful display of all the girls’ written and artistic work, which showcased al the fantastic activities and learning that took place.
