Year 3 girls went to Cannizaro Park as part of their current topic; to explore and find out as much as possible about their local environment. Each girl took a “story stick”: a piece of wood with an elastic band wrapped around it for them to collect little mementoes of their journey. The girls took time to sketch in the park, enjoy the beautiful gardens, and even spotted a message from Orinoco, a Womble, on one of the dustbins. It was great fun and the girls enjoyed being so close to nature.
