What a wonderful day the girls have had! The school held a beautiful and moving church service this morning at Sacred Heart, Edge Hill, where the whole school community came together to celebrate the history of the school with beautiful music, meaningful readings, and a heartfelt address from ex-Headmistress Mrs Joyce Nicol.
The girls then came back to school, and enjoyed a fantastic birthday party, complete with a funfair, ice cream van, traditional stalls, a special birthday picnic lunch, balloons and the traditional cutting of the birthday cake, made this year by our very own Sonia Gonzales. As per tradition, Mrs Pepper cut the cake with the help of the youngest and oldest girls in the school – Cristina H, Reception, and Natalie B, Year 6. After a resounding rendition of the happy birthday song that brought an end to the festivities, the girls went home with wonderful memories of the Study’s special birthday.
