Girls at Spencer House have been very creative in the lead up to Remembrance Day, and have crafted beautiful poppies which have gone on display in the hall and around the school. In Art, the girls have been doing some wonderful studies of World War 1 soldiers in action, and there is an exhibition of these beautiful and poignant artworks up in the hall also. The corridors have been filled with girls’ work focussing on the war, ranging from beautiful poetry to research projects on the role of women in the war, the girls have been learning a great deal about this period in history. Well done to the Spencer House girls on bringing such creative energy to this year’s special 100th Anniversary of the start of the First World War.
