Year 2 girls had a very informative and enjoyable trip when they went to The Florence Nightingale Museum last week. They learnt all about this heroic nurse and heard about her life and how she fought for better conditions for wounded soldiers during wartime. The girls dressed up and enjoyed role play after hearing all about her fascinating life. The girls also enjoyed comparing hospitals, and saw how much better the hospitals became as a result of her constant requests for better supplies and support. The trip brought to life all the work the girls have been doing in class around Florence Nightingale.
