The bright sunshine and warm weather was a wonderful bonus during the highly enjoyable annual Sports Day which took place at our very own sports ground at Beverly Meads on Friday 6th June.

Pre Prep girls (Reception – Year 2) had plenty of fun competing in events such as the baton relay, sack race, and bean bag throw, and the girls all had a chance to show their athletic prowess by competing in the middle distance and sprint events, and doing their houses proud. After lots of fun and laughter and team spirit from all the houses, it was a day for the greens as Archer house gained supremacy and won the 2014 cup. Well done girls!
The Prep Sports Day kicked off in true athletic style with girls from Years 3-6 warming up on 400m and 600m races. Thereafter, a carousel of fantastic events kept all the girls busy and included netball shooting, baton relay, hockey dribble and even shot put. The day came to an exciting close with the girls competing in the seeded 100 metre sprint event. All the girls gave each event their very best, and house spirit was at an all time high during the presentations , with the reds rejoicing as Roney triumphed on the day! A great show of team spirit from everyone – well done girls!
Our thanks go out to the PE department for organising such a memorable and successful event; to all the staff and parents who came along to support he girls, and to The Study Association for providing such delicious snacks and refreshments.
