On Sunday 9th March, The Study’s Chamber Choir took part in the annual Savills London Schools’ Concert in aid of The Children’s Trust. This wonderful event celebrates the musical talents of children from a wide range of schools across London, and The Study was one of ten schools performing in the picturesque setting of St John’s, Smith Square, Westminster.
Our musicians travelled to London by coach and spent the morning rehearsing on stage and getting ready for the performance. As it was such glorious weather, the girls also had the chance to enjoy their lunch outdoors and have a lovely walk along the Embankment.
The concert commenced at 2pm, and our girls sang and played stunningly well. Two pieces made up the Study’s segment, and the choir received a resounding round of applause for their tuneful singing voices and the fantastic playing by two solo instrumentalists – Indigo P on oboe and Lara S on harp.
All the girls did The Study proud, and many thanks to Mrs Brown, Miss Gay, Ms Travers and Ms Beck for supporting the girls at this exciting event.
